Start with meeting with your Platinum Custom Home Builders Project Manager to discuss what you want and need in a new home. Working with the Project Manager, create a Priority List of the features and functions you desire for your new home. With this Priority List, you’re ready to choose a homeplan and our unlimited possibilities for customization. Your homeplan selection, structural and design changes will all be incorporated into the formal purchase agreement and the various documents that constitute the formal and legal understanding regarding your new home purchase. This is where your ownership and building your new home truly begins.

 

Our objective is for you to feel secure that your new home will be built just as you envision. After this meeting you should have a realistic understanding of what  Platinum Custom Home Builders will custom build for you.And if you haven’t yet found a suitable building site, we can help with that too.

2. Meet With Your Lender

The next step is to sit down with your preferred lender to secure a mortgage that fits your situation.Don’t have a lender yet – we can provide you with referrals to lenders who are familiar with and provide loans for new construction homes.

3. Select Your Colors, Finishes & Features

 

A wide variety of exterior and interior choices, from roof shingles to the color and type of flooring plus everything in between. Often seen as an exciting process, you are making selections that will personalizing and customizing your new home to fit you and your family’s style and desired functionality. Your Platinum Custom Home Builders Project Manager will guide you through the selection process to transform the dwelling into your dream home. These selections include various colors, finishes and upgrades such as: brick/stone, siding, and roof shingles to lighting packages, appliances, cabinets, counter tops, flooring and plumbing fixtures. Once you have completed your selections, we will assemble the final plans, features list and the total home price to send to your lender.

4. Close Your Loan And Start Construction

  

Next you will close on the initial phase of your loan and your lender will walk you through what to expect with the payment draws and releases at each milestone through the building process. Now it’s the time for the fun part – seeing your new home being built.

5. Pre-Drywall Inspection

  

At this point the site has been cleared, foundation has been put in, framing has been completed, mechanical systems (plumbing, electrical and HVAC) have been roughed in and the third-party inspections for this stage have been done. You will meet with your Platinum Custom Home Builders Project Manager who will walk you through your new home prior to the installation of the drywall. This will help you gain an understanding how the framing and mechanical systems for your new home have been done.

6. Pre-Closing Inspection

  

As we near completion of your new home, you and your Project Manager will walk through the home and assemble a Punch-List of any items or issues that are of concern. This is a very important step in the building and completion process. Zero defects are our goal when we turn your new home over to you. This meeting helps our production team determine what is needed to be done in order to achieve the desired zero defects goal.

7. Homeowner Orientation & Closing

  

At the last formally scheduled meeting with your Project Manager, you will review important information about your home and home warranty.Final documents are delivered to you along with the keys to you new home – start bringing in the boxes!
